Cindy Petruccillo is a fine art photographer, mixed-media artist, and educator whose work explores memory, loss, human connection, and personal experience. She holds a BFA and MFA in Photography and has more than twenty years of experience teaching photography and visual arts in higher education, independent schools, museums, and community arts programs. She has taught at institutions throughout Rhode Island and Pennsylvania, including the University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island School of Design, Community College of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, and the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
Working across photography, digital imaging, drawing, collage, and text, Petruccillo creates layered visual narratives that transform personal memories and lived experiences into intimate, constructed worlds. Her studio practice often begins with collected images, objects, and fragments of memory, which she reworks through both photographic and mixed-media processes.
Building upon her work as an artist and educator, Petruccillo is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy, expanding her creative practice toward the exploration of grief, healing, and emotional well-being.
